GALAPAGOS! Day 1

Day 1!!!

So I was originally planning on going on a tour with G adventures. They cancelled so I booked a tour through HappyGringo. It is Oct and considered low season, so got a deal in a delux cruise. The infinity!!!

As it is relatively more expensive, the people on board are a bit older but super cool. Great convo, lots of laughs and I'm having a great time.

The food is AMAZING, and is non stop. I did not have to pay extra and have a really book, room, bathroom and my private only balcony.

First day has been awesome, saw loads of turtles in Black turtle cove, and several of them mating which is quite rare.

We saw the classic blue footed boobys, crabs, sting rays, and eels.

Welcome to my blog! This is to blog my travel adventures after taking a sabbatical from work with a plan of 1 year world travel.   I started off in Las Vegas for the WSOP main event, sadly didn't go too well but it was a tough table! Mitad del mundo and historical center quito.

Yesterday I had another group tour organized by community hostel to go to the centre of the world. They just charged for transportation. Although the weather is always perfect temperature, the UV index is high and sun screen is very important  Below is where they thought the centre of the world was, but left it there cause its kinda cool. On the right is my new wife and daughter, They had a great free tour, talking about some of the history of this place. Quito was named after Quitu tribe, and translates to centre to the world.  They were a pre-Columbian indigenous people in Ecuador. This tribe would have this tubes around their pee pees... i'm not sure why and I guess we will NEVER KNOW. Below was my crew for the day, middle was as a local who hadn't been here.
