Finishing up Galapagos, on to Chile!

I finished up my 8 day cruise with the Infinity. Although the group was quite diverse we had a lot of fun! I swam with so many sea turtles and sea lions. I also learned a ton. I was so impressed and motivated by our naturalists I made a jeopardy game and divided up the passengers in teams of 4! Galapagos is a must do before you die. One thing I've noticed is that sometimes people wait until they are much older before they do this, which can prove a bit challenging and may mean you miss out on activities.

Naturalists go through pretty extensive training/testing.  There are different levels. It definitely seemed like we had the best of the best, but I've also heard everyone else say that about their guides. It really seemed like any plant, bird, fish, mammal, rock, etc they knew EVERYTHING about. They would not only answer your question with serious depth but also offer extra but relevant info. They would turn bad questions into good questions.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

I did manage to get a device that let me take pics under water, most of the time I struggled to figure it out, but this was one pic I got with a bunch of King angelfish.

This was a marine iguina, it actually dives and eats underwater, the only lizard to do this in the world.

Last meal - there was lobster tails and sushi. Although special, I do find cream cheese or mayo in sushi to be quite offensive.

Final goodbyes to the crew, we almost had a 1:1 ratio of crew to guests. My room was cleaned 5 times a day!!!

I think i would consider coming back for diving and would ensure to go to west islands (my itinerary is below). Also, some tips when planning
1. deals often include flight to and from islands (an extra 500 US).
2. Tips: usually at list an extra 400 US when doing and 8 day tour
3. Usually doesn't include alcohol on ship

but I ate my FACE OFF...  so back at the gym hard!!!
